General trial and appellate practice in all courts

The firm has a general trial and appellate practice. It handles all types of trials, including personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, professional liability and discipline, family, property, insurance, contract and corporate matters. In addition to its trial practice, the firm also handles real estate closings, does probate, wills, workers' compensation, social security, and certain motor vehicle and criminal matters.

The firm has an extensive appellate practice, and regularly has pending 20 to 30 Connecticut Supreme Court, Appellate Court, and Second Circuit appeals. The firm has been successful as appellant in as many as 8 out of 9 Connecticut Supreme Court cases in a single year. In the past several years, the firm has averaged 12 Supreme Court, Appellate Court and Second Circuit decisions per year, and since 1964 has 386 reported decisions through December of 2005.
